Children's bed: how to find the best one!
Buying a cot can sometimes be even more difficult than buying your own bed. Because there are so many different types and sizes and of course you want the very best for your child! We will help you out and list the different types of cots, including their pros and cons. Handy, right?
If you thought you had a lot of options for choosing your own bed, then go and look around for a children's bed. Even more choice! Because are you going for a loft bed, bunk bed, extendable bed or trundle bed? A wooden bed, aluminum frame? Princess bed or pirate bed? We show you all the options available, so that you can easily choose which bed fits best in the space, with you and of course with your child.
Space-saving cots
Is the children's room not that big? Or do you just want to use the space you have as practically as possible? Then choose this type of children's bed: a trundle bed, bunk bed or loft bed. A bunk bed is ideal if two children sleep in the same room, or if friends often come to stay. Go up high! That is not only very practical, but also fun. Because what child doesn't like an adventurous bed? Nice climbing and clambering! A possible disadvantage of a bunk bed can be the safety. Fortunately, there are many safety gates for sale for the top bunk. But does your child often have to go to the toilet at night? Then he will also have to climb out of bed more often. Take that into account when making your choice.
Is the height not a problem, but does your child sleep alone in a room? Then a loft bed can be a solution. That is a high bed with, for example, a seat or desk underneath. Also ideal for small spaces! A trundle bed can also be a solution for limited spaces. Very handy if friends often want to stay over. This way you can have a sleepover every day, without the entire bedroom being full. The bottom bed is very easy to slide out, so you don't have to do crazy things with mattresses or air mattresses on the floor. That is a practical and flexible children's bed.
Very practical: a bed that grows with you
The transition from a crib to a toddler bed can be quite exciting for your child. That new bed is really big… Children are not always used to a bed without bars, which prevent them from falling out of bed. The solution? A growing bed! These beds have side panels to protect your child from falling. These panels are also very easy to remove when they are no longer needed. This way you can enjoy this bed for years.
Princess or pirate bed
A fun themed bed makes going to sleep a party! How about a pink princess bed? Or a cool pirate bed? Whether your child likes sweet, adventurous or very colorful: there is always a children's bed that fits perfectly with the theme of the bedroom and the wishes of your child. Use your imagination! A possible disadvantage of such a colorful and striking bed can be that children prefer a more adult bed after a certain age. But then you can certainly make a younger brother, sister, nephew or niece very happy with it!
At Solo Home we sell children's beds in all shapes and sizes. From adjustable beds to bunk beds and from colorful theme beds to classic wooden beds. And even better: all our children's beds are delivered with free matching mattresses and slatted bases as standard.
